GoGo.mn, which brought a fresh look and new ways of reading to online journalism, first reached readers in 2007 and has now been publishing without interruption for 19 years. Over that time we have become one of the most widely read and trusted websites in Mongolia. Between 400,000 and 870,000 readers visit our site every day, and we are committed to delivering principled, ethical journalism that is balanced and independent of any political party, faction, business or non-governmental organization, that gives voice to the public, and that upholds the national interest, social values, human rights and justice.
We were among the first sites to make our Editorial Policy and Code of Ethics openly available to readers, and we are the first media organization in Mongolia to be certified to ISAS 9001, the international media standard.
GoGo.mn also became the first news site in Mongolia to officially partner with the BBC's “50:50 The Equality Project” initiative. Through this partnership, we have adopted the methodology the BBC used to successfully increase the representation of women, as well as ethnic and sexual minorities and people with disabilities, in its own content. We strive for gender balance among our sources not only in our news stories and articles, but in our visual storytelling as well.
Year after year, our newsroom draws on advances in technology to improve and enrich its work and content.
